Dear Parents,Guardians and Community Members,

My name is Allison Johnson and I am honored to be the as the Head of School at Chatham Christian Academy.

First and foremost, I know Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior!  I believe that God is the one, true God.  I believe that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and yours.   I believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that is the roadmap for how we should live.  I believe in the power of prayer and that God speaks to us all in a multitude of ways.  He has a plan for my life and for yours.  I was raised in the Baptist Church, and my family and I currently worship at Joy Baptist Church in Siler City.

During my professional career, I have taught every grade in the K-6 grade span, have served as an assistant principal, principal, the coordinator of the Exceptional Children’s Pre-K program, and have most recently taught first grade in a neighboring Christian school in Sanford.  I have worked in Stokes County, Alamance County, and  retired from Chatham County Schools in 2022.  I was a NC Teaching Fellow and have graduate degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership.

I am originally from Advance, NC but have lived in Chatham County since 1996.  Most people know me as “Mrs. Buckner” but I became Mrs. Johnson in December of 2020.  My husband, Neal, is a Machining Instructor at Randolph Community College. He also owns and operates Johnson Landscape Service.  We have 4 children:  John (26), Symanthia (24), Clay (21) and Traycee (19).  We live in Snow Camp with our dog, Jax.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

The most important thing we can do is instill the Word of God in our children.  Everything children learn should be framed  using a Biblical Worldview.   Having a Biblical Worldview shapes how children view the world we live in and how we live our lives each day.  It provides a firm foundation for life, grounded in core truths about God.  This is the primary goal of Christian Education.

My goal is to ensure that CCA is a school where children throughout Chatham County can come together to learn about God and His Word while learning academics so that they can become successful disciples of Christ in our community.  I am excited to see the blessings God has in store for Chatham Christian Academy this year and in the years to come!
